The Linear Duct Heaters are an optional heat
system that will engage when the normal operating range of reverse cycle
heat pumps is exceeded. The line of linear duct heaters is designed by
Marine Air Systems to work with those new or existing air conditioning
systems that are digitally controlled with the ECU Maxx. This enables the
typical boating season to be extended through the fall and spring months,
allowing more time for boat owners to enjoy their boat... in total
comfort. Live-aboards will find this enhancement to their system to be of
particular benefit.
The Linear Duct Heater, when used in conjunction with
the ECU Maxx control, provides a wide range of program functions that will
allow you to customize the heating system to fit virtually any
requirement. The Linear Duct Heaters are available in 1kw or 2kw
and either 115 or 230VAC.
The Linear Duct Heater is mounted near the blower and
fitted directly in the duct system. The unit is designed to match the
diameter of the ducting, so little additional space is required. This
heater mounts easily to any secure surface and, because of internal
ceramic insulation, does not transfer heat to the shell. Each device is
fitted with an automatic reset thermal overload as well as a fuse link for
shutdown in case of air flow failure.
